- It groups four components: the fortified upper town of Dalt Vila, the Puig des Molins necropolis, the Phoenician settlement of Sa Caleta and the Posidonia seagrass meadows.
- It was inscribed under cultural criteria (ii), (iii) and (iv) and natural criteria (ix) and (x).
- The natural component largely matches the Ses Salines Natural Park between Ibiza and Formentera.
