Good to know
- Sa Caleta was founded in the late 8th century BC and is the oldest Phoenician settlement found on Ibiza.
- It stands on a small headland between Es Codolar and Es Jondal, with a sheltered cove used as a harbour.
- Its people worked metals such as argentiferous galena, made salt and fished; the site was left peacefully around 600 BC.
- An interpretation centre also explains the early 20th century military defences built on the same headland.
